According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the night of May 9, a weak cold air mass is likely to affect northern localities and bring rains in many northern and central localities.

The rains are expected to last until around May 11, with moderate to heavy rainfall. From May 12 to 13, isolated showers and thunderstorms may occur.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected from the night of May 9 from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh, while Quang Binh to Phu Yen will witness rain starting in the afternoon of May 10.
Hanoi will be mostly clear and hot, with temperatures reaching 35-36 degrees Celsius on May 9. On May 10, the city will turn cloudy with rain and thunderstorms, and temperatures will range from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius. By May 11, the temperature will drop to 22-26 degrees Celsius.
Scattered showers are forecast to hit the northern region of Vietnam on May 14-17, with rain concentrating in the late afternoon and evening.
Quang Binh and Phu Yen locations will experience rain on May 10-12. Meanwhile, the Central Highlands and southern regions will also experience rain during this time.
