The land allocation, approved by the municipal People's Committee, marks the first phase of the project, with all land already cleared for construction.
The allocated land includes about 190,000 sq.m for commercial housing, nearly 400,000 sq.m for resettlement housing, more than 9,000 sq.m for social housing and about 46,700 sq.m for commercial and service facilities.
A further 80,000 sq.m has been designated for revenue-generating technical and social infrastructure, while nearly 70,000 sq.m will be used for education facilities, more than 1,200 sq.m for healthcare services and over 9,700 sq.m for parking.
The remaining 830,000 sq.m will be used for roads, parks, sports grounds, cultural facilities and other public infrastructure.
According to the approved 1:500 detailed plan, the mixed-use urban development will cover about 696 hectares across Thu Lam and Dong Anh communes, near the Hanoi-Thai Nguyen Expressway.
The project will include low-rise housing, mixed-use apartment buildings with retail space, schools, healthcare facilities, parks and other public amenities.
Construction is expected to take nearly four years, from the first quarter of 2026 to the third quarter of 2029, according to the developer.
