The 91st patient, who was a pilot of Vietnam Airlines, was tested positive to the virus after spending time at the Buddha Bar in Thao Dien Ward, District 2, on March 14. The police are calling for everyone who was at the bar and drivers who carried the bar customers to take a test.
The notification was announced in Vietnamese and English.
As Tuesday morning, three more people have also been tested positive including patients numbered 97, 98 and 120. Three other people have presumptive positive results and 30 people are being quarantined. By the morning of March 24, the city police detected 121 more people that may have contact with the 91st patient. They are testing at least 43 people and are preparing for hundreds of more tests.
Nguyen Tri Dung, director of HCM City Centre for Disease Control, said the city had 30 confirmed cases and three people have been released from the hospital.
