The new number 86 bus route, connecting Noi Bai International Airport to Hanoi Railway Station has started operation.
Nguyen Phi Thuong, director of Transerco, said the bus route would help provide a better service. "With quality services and reasonable prices, it may gradually encourage people to use public transport. In addition, the route strengthens the connection between the airport and city centre destinations," Thuong said.
Nguyen Duc Chung, chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee, said the route showed the determination to ease congestion and encourage people to use public transportation.
The bus route is operated by Hanoi Transport Corporation. It runs from the Hanoi Railway Station to the Noi Bai International Airport. Tickets cost 30,000 VND (USD1.30) each way and trips take almost an hour.
Orange buses can carry 80 passengers. The assistants can speak English and tourists free wifi is available on the bus.
Besides Transerco, other transport companies are also proposing bus routes from Hoang Cau Lake and Nuoc Ngam Coach Station to the Noi Bai Airport.
The route runs along Tran Hung Dao, Da Tuong, Ly Thuong Kiet, Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem Lake, Tran Nguyen Han, Tran Quang Khai, Long Bien Bus Station, Yen Phu, Nghi Tam, Au Co, Nhat Tan Bridge, Vo Nguyen Giap and Noi Bai Terminal T1, Vo Nguyen Giap and Terminal T2.
