According to the Institute of Earth Sciences, the quakes occurred between 5.16 and 8.09 am in Tra Linh Commune in Danang, and Mang But Commune in Quang Ngai.

Data from the Institute of Geophysics showed the events had magnitudes ranging from 2.8 to 3.1 and a focal depth of about 8.1 kilometres.
The strongest quake, measuring 3.1, was recorded at 6.24 in Tra Linh and classified at level 0 for natural disaster risk. Another tremor of magnitude 2.8 struck Mang But at 5.18 am.
Tra Linh authorities said no shaking was felt in the commune centre and daily activities continued as normal.
