I hope to lead Microsoft Vietnam to increase our contribution to the development of the local IT,” said Malcolm De Silva, Country Manager of Microsoft Vietnam.
Today, March 31 2010, Malcolm De Silva has been appointed Country Manager to manage its operation in Vietnam.
“In this role Malcolm De Silva will be responsible for managing Microsoft strategic business and developing initiatives in Vietnamese market. Malcolm brings more than 20 years’ experience in IT to help Vietnam accelerate its adopting of technology to meet its national goals,” said Akther Ahmed, General Manager of Emerging Markets, and Microsoft Asia Pacific. “Malcolm and his leadership team will lead Microsoft Vietnam to new levels of success in terms of supporting and satisfying partners as well as our customers.”
Prior to this, Malcolm was State Director for Microsoft Western Australia where he drove double digit growth year on year, and worked closely with local governments on their technology programs.
