Super International Grand chess master Le Quang Liem left Ho Chi Minh City on October 12 to attend the SPICE Cup in the US from October 15-25.
Six grand masters invited to the Cup include Le Quang Liem from Vietnam, Lienier Dominguez from Cuba, Sebastien Feller from France, Georg Meier from Germany, and Yury Shulman and Ray Robson from the US.
The tournament has the highest average Elo in the history of the US with participating masters’ Elo of minimum 2583.
Le Quang Liem has the highest Elo of 2717, followed by Lienier Dominguez (2710), Sebastien Feller (2668), Georg Meier (2648), Yury Shulman (2608) and Ray Robson (2583).
After the tournament, Liem will attend the 26th SEA Games in Indonesia in November and Mind Game in China in December.
