Vietnam's Drug Administration has imposed the penalty on Kotrans Co., Ltd. following inspections that identified several breaches linked to the company's Hanoi branch.
The total fine amounts to VND 147.5 million (approximately USD 5,700).

According to the regulator, the company sold the cosmetic product VT Reti-a Reedle Shot 700 with labels that failed to include all mandatory information required under Vietnamese regulations. The value of products sold to the market exceeded VND 96.5 million (approximately USD 3,700).
For this violation, Kotrans was fined VND 22.5 million (approximately USD 870) and ordered to return all revenue generated from sales of the product.
The company was also found to have marketed three cosmetic products with labels containing inaccurate and misleading information about the nature and characteristics of the goods.
The products were identified as Torriden Cellmazing Pore Perfecting Ampoule, VT Cica Collagen Mask and Unove Deep Damage Repair Shampoo Sweet Breeze. The total value of products sold exceeded VND 353 million (approximately USD 13,600).
For these violations, the company received a fine of VND 70 million (approximately USD 2,700). Authorities also ordered the products to be recalled and relabelled in accordance with regulations before any future distribution. The company must also surrender all proceeds generated from the sales.
In addition, the Drug Administration determined that four cosmetic products had Product Information Files (PIFs) that were incomplete and failed to meet legal requirements.
The affected products were COSRX The Retinol 0.5 Oil, SKINFOOD Yuja C Dark Spot Clear Cream, SKINFOOD Black Cherry Retinol 0.1 Eye Cream and Paparecipe Collagen Peptide Serum.
Kotrans was fined a further VND 55 million (approximately USD 2,100) for these violations.
The regulator also ordered the recall and destruction of all non-compliant products associated with the incomplete documentation.
