Additionally, the department found 300 foreign workers without a work permit who were not recorded by management agencies. They were working at the thermal power plants of Vĩnh Tân 1 and Vĩnh Tân 4.
At Vĩnh Tân 1, there were 482 workers who did not have a work permit and 257 others who were not permitted to work among more than 1,000 foreign workers. At Vĩnh Tân 4 the numbers were 19 and 250, respectively.
If the investor does not complete work permit applications for foreign workers within the time limit, the department will advise the People’s Committee to address the case.
It will also tighten human resource management at Vĩnh Tân Power Centre projects.
