The group stole VND8.5bn (USD365,000) from Nhon Hoa Company



The gang had stolen from many companies. One of their biggest cases is to steal VND8.5bn (USD365,000) from Nhon Hoa Company. They were led by Ly Thai Huy, born in 1997 in Quang Ngai Province. Huy established the gang and recruited Nguyen Tuong Tu, born in 2000 from Dak Lak, Lam Nhat Vu, born in 2000, and Nguyen Van Tien, born in 1998, both are from Quang Ngai.

After stealing the money, they converted it into US dollars and divided it among themselves.

They committed nine crimes throughout HCM City, Binh Duong Province and Dong Nai Province from June 2017. In June 2017, they broke into Biotechnology Centre in HCM City and stole VND1.2bn (USD51,500). Tien was given VND450m, Huy and Vu were given USD225m each and VND200m were used for the group's gambling.

In August 2017, Huy, Tien and Vu broke into the offices of Isuzu Motors Company and stole VND50m (USD2,100) and seven computers. The next month, they stole VND420m worth of cash and items after breaking into the Gamuda Land Company.

According to the police, the group had stolen over VND10bn (USD429,000) worth of cash and items from various companies. The police in HCM City set up a special team to investigate the case after signs showed that the break-ins are done by the same group.
