Checking body temperature

A 15-year-old boy has been tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 after returning from a trip in Danang. From July 23 to 26, he travelled to Danang and stayed with his family at Ocean Haven Hotel in Son Tra District. They visited Ba Na Hill, Than Tai Mountain, and Hoi An Town. From July 27 to 29, he returned to Hanoi in Dai Mo and didn't go out or make contact with anyone but his family.

The boy was transferred to the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases on July 29. His mother was tested negative but asked to stay at the hospital to look after him. The other members are self-isolated at home. Their house and related areas have been disinfected.

A testing location opened at Hoang Dieu Primary School

From July 31, as the Ba Dinh District Medical Centre worked with other agencies to organise quick Covid-19 tests for people who returned from Danang, many rushed to the centre to take tests. Hundreds of people gathered at the test location at Hoang Dieu Primary School alone.

The medical staff said the testing started at 7 am. The patients will have body temperature checks, blood tests and fill medical declaration forms. Several children who have gone to a family trip to Danang are also taken to be tested. The results of the blood tests will come out after 15-20 minutes.
