Many people rushed to drink beer as a way to relax after the social distancing measures were eased.

By around 9 pm on Tuesday, a beer restaurant had sold a record 500 litres of beer. According to the owner, there were so many customers that the restaurant couldn’t serve all of them despite more staff being arranged.

Ha Long in Tam Trinh Street, Hai Ba Trung District, said that he had to wait for up to 30 minutes, but the ordered vegetable dish was not brought to. When he was about to leave, the dish was served and he had to pay for it.

He also had to take beer by himself, instead of waiting to be served.

Hanoi is forecasted to experience temperatures of up to 39 degrees centigrade this weekend, which is a golden occasion for beer stalls to make money.
