Addressing a Tuesday conference on Covid-19 situation in the city, vice chairman of Hanoi City People's Committee, Ngo Van Quy said that the new virus outbreak has been curbed so local bars and clubs would be allowed to reopen from 12am on September 16.
"The threat of new outbreaks is still ongoing so bars and clubs must follow strict virus preventive measures during this time," the official said, adding that staff have to wear face masks and customers need to wash hands before entering.
Also at the conference, Phu agreed with a proposal from vice chairman of Hoan Kiem District, Dinh Hong Phong to reopen the walking streets around the Hoan Kiem Lake from September 18.
