On March 25-27, the capital held the first air balloon festival, offering visitors a chance to see Hanoi from above.

Amica Travel Company is organising a cycling tour inside the city. Some other tours, including a walking tour to enjoy the French architectural style in Hanoi and a tour to explore Hoa Loa Prison Relic, are also being held.
Many other tours to Hanoi’s suburbs are also being boosted. Nguyen Dang Thao, head of the Duong Lam Ancient Village’s management board in Son Tay Town, said that the board will build night and early morning tours for visitors to explore the lives of local residents.
In Ba Vi District, a range of tourism events will take place in April, including Muong-Dao ethnic minority group markets and an air balloon festival at Ba Vi National Park. Tourists can enjoy local special dishes as well as take part in agricultural activities such as growing grapefruits and tea.
In Gia Lam District, trips to Bat Trang Pottery Village have been reformed with more roads to be decorated with paintings and night markets to be held.
In the first quarter of this year, Hanoi served 2.8 million tourists with total revenue of VND7.8 trillion, representing an on-year rise of 45.3 percent.
