The clinic, which has been operated for two weeks, receives around 70-80 Covid-19 patients per day. The figure on some days reached around 100 patients.
The Covid-19 clinic at Thanh Nhan Hospital
Dr Nguyen Thu Huong, head of the clinic, said that around 200 Covid-19 patients are being treated at the clinic, including 150 cases that need oxygen support.
Huong added that despite the city’s rising Covid-19 patients, the hospital has witnessed a sharp fall in the number of hospitalised patients and deaths.
The clinic is expected to help ease overload for medical stations in many wards and communes in Hanoi. It serves Covid-19 patients not only from Hanoi but also from other localities.
When coming to the clinic for examinations, Covid-19 patients will be classified. People with mild symptoms can be allowed to return home for treatment, while those at risk of worsened health will be hospitalised.
