From June 1, Transerco will operate new buses for the 55A running from Cau Giay District to Time City in Hai Ba Trung District and 55B travelling from Cau Giay District to Aeon Mall in Long Bien District and also increase stops on the 22A, 22B and 22C routes.

The new buses can accommodate 60 passengers and finally meet EURO 3 standards on emissions. They are equipped with a GPS system and a speaker system to inform passengers of destinations.
Hanoi has some 1,000 buses that transport about 500 million passengers each year, equivalent to 15% of total travel demand.
The number of passengers has fallen over the past few years due to a rise in personal vehicles and the city’s frequent traffic jams.
The city is also building two urban railway projects which are expected to help reduce the number of motorbikes and cars on the streets.
