At 1.30 PM SJC gold of Hanoi SJC Jewelry and Gemstone Company was being bought for VND2.665 million ($143.4) per tael and sold at VND2.675 million ($143.9) per tael. Bao Tin Minh Chau Company was bought at VND2.663 million per tael and sold at VND2.672 million ($143.2) per tael.
On the Sacombank gold trading floor, SJC gold was transacted at VND2.475 million ($133.1) per tael with successful transactions of 123,420 tael worth VND3,059 billion ($16 million).
On the ACB gold trading floor, SJC gold was transacted at VND2.491 million ($134) per tael with successful transactions of 6,680 tael worth VND166 billion ($8.9 million).
At the gold trading center of Agribank AJC Vi Na, gold transactions were listed at VND2.382 million ($128) per tael.
At the end of the year, gold investors seem to be rather cautious with gold investments. Some want to sit tight and wait to see how the market moves in changing year. Some investors make profit with short term investments.
In foreign currency markets, the US dollar on the black market was bought at VND19,370 and sold at VND19,410 per one dollar. Average inter-bank rate exchange by the state bank was VND17,941 per one dollar. Commercial banks placed the value at VND18,465-18,479 per one dollar.
