The managing board of FPT - Vietnam’s leading IT corporation - Wednesday officially appointed deputy general director Truong Dinh Anh as the new general director.

Earlier, Nguyen Thanh Nam, the 70th richest men on the Vietnamese stock market last year with estimated assets of VND299 billion, suddenly handed in his resignation from personal reasons.
Truong Dinh Anh, 41, graduated from Hanoi’s National Economics University in 1992. He has been working for FPT since 1993.
1995, Truong Dinh Anh was responsible for FPT’s Research and Development Department. 1997, he was appointed director of FPT Online eXchange (FOX) (now FPT Telecom).
He is founder of the most-used Intranet in Vietnam and one of co-founders of VnExpress newswire.
In May, 2004, he was voted as member of FPT’s managing board. In July, 2009, he was appointed deputy general director of FPT. Anh is known for his statement that he would become the country’s Prime Minister at the age of 40
