According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Traffic Safety Department, the tragic accident occurred after a truck carrying scrap metal collided with a motorbike at 8.30 pm on January 12 on Nghi Son - Bai Tranh Street in Nghi Son Commune.
"A truck driven by Le Huu An collided with a motorbike driven by Nguyen Trong Thu, 45, who was transporting his wife aged 42 and their two children aged 9 and 8,'' the department said. "Four people on the motorbike were seriously injured and died shortly after at the hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
