Former Vietnamese footballer Lê Công Vinh is the youngest candidate running for a place on the executive committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) for the 2018-22 term.

Vinh, 33, is among 32 candidates vying for 17 seats on the committee.
He is currently director of the CV9 Comunity Football Academy and head of the football department at the Nguyễn Hoàng Education Group.
Vinh is one of country’s most famous strikers. He played for local and foreign clubs before retiring, and captained the national team scoring 51 goals.
Last year, he was appointed President of HCM City FC but resigned in May.
The VFF congress will be held on December 8 and the results will be announced same day.
