A photo showing three foreign men hanging out of car windows and drinking in a running taxi on a HCM City street has surprised people.
The photo, taken on Ton Duc Thang Street on December 3 went viral.
Three foreign men cause chaos in Saigon street
Passers-by were surprised to see the foreigners drinking and smoking while hanging out the windows of a running Vinasun taxi.
Comments on the dangerous behaviour criticised the taxi driver for not stopping.
Ta Long Hy, Director of Vinasun, confirmed that the photo was real and the taxi belonged to his company. He however, said that the situation wasn’t the fault of the driver.
Hy said the driver had told the passengers they were behaving dangerously but they did not stop.
A local resident who witnessed the incident said that he had not seen the driver attempt to stop the taxi.
A traffic policeman in HCM City said it was obviously a traffic violation and the driver should have turned to the traffic police to resolve the situation.
