The National Committee for Rescue and Search stated that on November 18, a fishing boat with nine crew members sank. Fortunately the other ship was close enough to come to the aid of the crew and take them to Singapore. They are all in good health.
The committee asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to communicate with Singaporean authorities and to work on the return of the nine fishermen.
The committee will collaborate with the Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue of Binh Thuan Province to aid the fishermen.
The MRCC said that on November 19, they helped another fishing boat which was on an expedition near Truong Sa Island when a crew member complained of pain from appendicitis. The MRCC sent a ship to the location in bad weather and brought the man to hospital.
