A fishing boat with three people on board in the central province of Nghe An sank early this morning, May 3, leaving two crew unaccounted for.
At around 2 am, while catching fish in the area some four nautical miles from the shore, the fishing boat owned by Hoang Duc Dong, 34, from Hoang Mai Town’s Quynh Phuong Ward suddenly capsized due to rough seas and strong winds.
Crewmember Hoang Duc Thi, 35, escaped the vessel and was saved by a nearby boat. Meanwhile, Dong and another man, Truong Van Hung, 39, remain missing.
The three men are from Quynh Phuong Ward.
Authorities of Quynh Phuong Ward are cooperating with concerned agencies to search for the missing.
