A newspaper reporter on Tuesday granted the donation to Trinh Thi Hong, 10, and her four-year old brother in Tho Truong Commune, Tho Xuan District.
The donation granted to the family
Their parents Trinh Huu Phuong, 44, and Nguyen Thi Xuan, 37, died in a traffic accident last month.
The two children are now living with their grandparents who are also very poor.
Following an article about the family condition, many people have joined hands to help the children.
Trinh Ba Hien, vice chairman of Tho Truong Commune, said that local authorities and the two children’s teachers came to their house to console them.
The family mostly depends on farming while one of the children is often sick.
Hong expressed her great thanks to the assistance. She said that she will try to learn well and take care of her brother.
