Giang A Toan is struggling Japanese encephalitis

The donation came after an article about the boy’s condition had been published in the newspaper.

Toan has been staying at hospital due to Japanese encephalitis, depending on respirators over the past six months.

All the family’s valuables have been sold to cover his treatment fees. The family has also incurred debts.

Giang A Nenh, Toan’s father, intended to take his son home for self-treatment due to the family’s financial difficulties. During the hospital stay, they had to live on charity meals. Doctors at Thanh Hoa Children’s Hospital also called the donations for helping them.

On March 16, Dantri/DTiNews granted the donation of VND279.56 million to Toan’s family.
