The streets of Danang have been abandoned as people were advised to stay home following a new Covid-19 outbreak.

As of May 13, Danang reported a total of 112 Covid-19 community cases, forcing the local authorities to tighten preventive measures. Gatherings of more than five people outside hospitals, schools and offices have been banned. Residents were also advised to limit going out.

Popular tourist spots like the Han River and Dragon Bridge are now nearly empty. Travellers also wear face masks when going out.

The city became even more deserted after the authorities asked restaurants, karaoke bars and nightclubs to close temporarily.
