Over 500 members of Vespa Clubs from Australia, Thailand, Laos, the US and Vietnam will enjoy a two-day (April 28-29) rendezvous in central Danang and Hoi An cities.

The Vespa, a trademark Italian-designed scooter, is a favourite vehicle among Vietnamese bikers.
"All scooters made in the1950s or 1960s will hit the road later this month. Vespa club members from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang will celebrate the meeting with series of roadshows in Da Nang and Hoi An," Hoa said.
He said old scooter collectors will share experience in driving and preserving the Italian-designed scooter.
Hoa said a seminar on traffic safety is also organised during the two-day meeting, while a museum of old scooter is opened in Hoi An City.
The first meeting of the Vespa enthusiasts was held in Danang-Hue in 2005; Da Lat in 2006 and 2008; and Hanoi in 2010. The two-stroke engine vehicle first appeared as a luxury scooter in Vietnam in late 1950s.
