Dak Lak driver fined for driving SUV onto crowded beach

Police in Dak Lak Province have fined a driver VND 5 million (approximately USD 197) and deducted two points from his driving licence after he drove an SUV onto a beach crowded with swimmers.

The man has been fined for driving an SUV onto a beach crowded with swimmers.

According to the provincial traffic police department, the 40-year-old man drove a seven-seater vehicle onto the sand at Binh Kien Ward beach at around 5 pm on July 3, while many locals and tourists were swimming nearby.

The vehicle became stuck in the sand and had to be pulled out by another car.

Authorities in Binh Kien said that cars are not allowed on the beach due to safety concerns.

Another man is prosecuted for causing public disorder after driving a pickup truck along Tuy Hoa beach on June 3.

Previously, on June 3, a 44-year-old man was prosecuted for causing public disorder after driving a pickup truck along Tuy Hoa beach.
