The vaccine batch arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on August 27.
The Czech Republic has donated 250,800 doses of AstraZeneca and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines for Vietnam
The vaccine granting ceremony today saw representatives from the two countries, including Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong and Czech Deputy Ambassador to Vietnam Lukas Musi.
Lukas Musil said that the vaccine donation has proved the good relationship between the two nations over the past 71 years. He added that last year, many Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic joined hands to support the nation's fight against the pandemic.
Vietnam is Czech Republic’s priority in vaccine assistance. The European country is willing to support Vietnam in Covid-19 prevention and control activities, Musil noted.
The Czech government will also help provide medical equipment for the Covid-19 fight.
Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong said he highly appreciated the Czech government’s support.
