Of the sum, 27 cases were reported in the northern province of Bac Ninh. They are all being treated at Bac Ninh General Hospital. The further information about their infection sources are being defined.
The northern province of Vinh Phuc accounted for 19 cases, becoming one of the country’s new Covid-19 hotspots.
The central city of Danang recorded 13 new cases, and Hanoi nine, Bac Giang Province five, and Hoa Binh Province two.
Meanwhile, Dak Lak, Dien Bien and Lang Son confirmed one each.
By 6 am today, May 10, Vietnam had confirmed a total 3,412 Covid-19 patients, including 1,981 locally-transmitted cases. Since April 27, the country has witnessed up to 411 locally-infected patients.
On Sunday, an additional 42,943 people were vaccinated against Covid-19, raising the nation’s total number of Covid-19 vaccine recipients to 851,51 out of 917,600 dozes of Covid-19 vaccine distributed to localities.
