A security camera from a nearby house captured the accident, showing that the car was being driven at very high speed, heading from Dak Lak to Gia Lai. It then suddenly lost control, crashed into a traffic sign and a tree, flipped multiple times, and landed violently on the road. The footage also recorded screeching brakes and thick clouds of dust as the crash unfolded.
The crash ejected two rear-seat passengers from the vehicle, leaving them unconscious on the road. The front-seat passenger also suffered from serious injuries.
The victims were quickly taken to Gia Lai General Hospital for emergency treatment. One died, while the other two remain hospitalised and are undergoing intensive care. Meanwhile, the driver escaped unharmed.
The driver tested positive for a high level of alcohol.
