Vu Thi Huong from Nam Giang Town, Nam Truc District in the northern province of Nam Dinh has been living with leukaemia for three years. She is now taking care of her son Doan Van Ban at Vietnam-Germany Hospital in Hanoi.

Ban fell from the fourth floor of a construction site, causing him severe injuries. He was taken to Vietnam-Germany Hospital in Hanoi for a surgery. Meanwhile, his father has faced schizophrenia.
Ban’s body was cast in plaster so he can’t move. He said in tears that he hoped to recover so he could return to work to support the family.

Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong from Vietnam-Germany Hospital said that Ban was hospitalised with multiple trauma, including to the spine. It would take him quite a long time to recover but his family can’t afford the treatment.
