Ambulances transferring thousands people at industrial parks to quarantine centres


Viet Yen District Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong said they had detected hundreds of positive cases after carrying out rapid tests at several hot spots.

Le Anh Duong, chairman of Bac Giang People's Committee said hundreds of ambulances were sent to Quang Chau Commune in Viet Yen District on May 27. From the evening of May 27 to 28, about 3,000 people will be transferred to quarantine centres. Most of them are employees at Hoisiden Company living in Quang Chau Commune. The move aims to lower the risk of transmission in the community.

Disinfecting vehicles and drivers

On the same evening, 500 patients were transferred to the newly-built Field Hospital 2 at Bac Giang Stadium.

Three hundred patients were transferred from Viet Yen District and over 200 patients were transferred from Bac Giang Mental Health Hospital to the new field hospital so that there will be more space for ICU beds. Some child patients arrived with their parents.

Five hundred doctors and nurses from Bac Giang General Hospital and 165 staff from Hanoi-based Hospital 198 and National Hospital of Traditional Medicine have arrived at the hospital. Hospital 2 has 628 beds, of which eight beds are for critically ill patients
