According to Dinh Viet Thang, head of the CAAV, Covid-19 tests were provided for all 10,028 staff at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi with all of them tested negative for the virus.

The test was to screen workers to avoid an outbreak as experienced in Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
Thang added that following the Covid-19 infections at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City, all of the staff at Vietnam Airport Ground Services Company (VIAGS) with a total of 168 people have been quarantined.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s operation has been maintained as usual. The CAAV has mobilised staff from other airports and agencies to support Tan Son Nhat during the staff’s quarantine time.
Meanwhile, airports have been urged to request all passengers to closely conform to Covid-19 preventive measures.
