A bus was fined for overcrowding in Quang Ninh Province on May 1

The bus run by Duc Loc Transport Company was stopped at Uong Bi City in Quang Ninh while en route to Nam Dinh Province, local police said.

70 passengers were found jammed on the 40-seated bus which was on a 300km route.

The bus was fined VND39 million (USD1,714) for over overcrowding.

The driver, Tran Van Quan, 34, had his licence suspended for three months.
