12 counterfeit milk products banned

The Vietnam Food Administration has banned 12 counterfeit powdered milk and nutritional products, and has advised the public to avoid using 72 other milk products currently under investigation.

On April 23, the Food Administration under the Ministry of Health received an official dispatch from the Ministry of Public Security requesting coordination in crime prevention and detection of violations. The document identified 12 counterfeit nutritional and powdered milk products.

In response, the Food Administration immediately issued a directive urging provincial and municipal health departments to inspect, review, and work with local authorities to remove all 12 counterfeit products from the market. It also requested collaboration with the Ministry of Public Security’s Investigation Agency to handle the case in accordance with the law.

The agency further warned consumers not to use 72 products linked to Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical JSC and Hacofood Nutritional Pharmaceutical JSC, pending final conclusions from the investigative authorities.

Authorities are intensifying efforts to ensure public safety and remove these harmful products from circulation. Consumers are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious items to local health departments.
