According to the ministry, representative agencies in Thailand and Singapore have contacted the people in need and worked with the authorities in Thailand and Singapore as well as the Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways to organise the flights.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic is still developing, many countries have closed borders and banned flights, including transit flights. Many airlines in the world have stopped receiving new passengers. They cancelled flights and changes rules about cargo delivery.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises people to limit travelling to other countries or return to Vietnam during this time. Vietnamese people in other countries must follow the rules in the host countries, follow the procedures and make sure that they have all necessary papers for travelling, especially health declarations. If they don't have required papers, they may be refused entry.

Vietnamese embassies overseas were asked to monitoring the situation and work with the airports and airlines to update the immigration policy.

Vietnamese nationals can return to Vietnam without needing a certificate of Vietnamese representative agencies in the host country. They can contact the embassies, consulates and representative agencies for help.
