An early morning head-on crash between two passenger buses has killed at least 10 people and left another 11 injured in Binh Thuan Province.
The crash, at 1:20am on Highway 1, involved a 30-seat passenger bus en route from Phan Thiet to HCM City, and another bus, carrying 45 passengers returning to Nghe An Province from HCM City.
Emergency workers, who reached the crash site at about 2:30am, said nine people were killed in the crash, and another died on the way to hospital.
The impact of the collision destroyed part of the wall of a roadside house.
Casualties were rushed to medical facilities in Ham Thuan Nam District.
