The local sides are LifeLink of VinUni, KidKat of RMIT Vietnam University, The Blockers of VinUni, ViFaChain of VinUni, DLA Squad of VinUni, and Trang Le of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.
In order to enter the international competition, which is scheduled to last until October 10, the six teams successfully surpassed over 100 local opponents in the Vietnam National Selection Round (VN-BCOL).
The qualifying stage was held by YellowBlocks - Head of the National Organizing Committee, and co-organisers Hub Global, National Startup Support Center (NSSC, under the Ministry of Science & Technology), Hub Global, and LaunchZone.
This is the second time that Vietnam has sent teams to participate in the competition along with over 59 countries from the Americas, the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
IBCOL 2021 is an annual global competition that invites current and recent students to propose complete solutions for real-world problems by utilising blockchain technology.
The event’s theme revolves around the application of blockchain technology across seven areas, including e-Government, FinTech, HealthTech, EduTech, Identity/Privacy, Supply Chain Provenance, and Document/Authentication.
