Authorities in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak seize 35,000 cosmetic products of no clear origin weighing more than six tonnes from a local shop on February 17, 2025.
The Dak Lak Market Surveillance Department raided business premises on A11 Street, Buon Ma Thuot City, on February 17. It found over 35,000 cosmetic products weighing more than six tonnes and having no clear origin.
The facility owner failed to provide any documents, invoices, or certificates proving the origin of these products, which included sunscreen, lipstick, powder, shampoo, perfume, and skincare creams.
The cosmetics were listed for sale with an estimated value of over VND800 million (USD32,000). The business operated as a household enterprise but had not registered as required by regulations.
The inspection team documented the administrative violations and temporarily seized the goods for further investigation.
