Dong Nai railway section adorned with flowers

Flowers have been grown along a railway section in the southern province of Dong Nai's Trang Bom District.

Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company, in co-operation with the Quang Tien Commune People's Committee, launched a campaign on February 19 to plant flowers along the railway section running through the area.

As a result, more than 100 yellow bellflower trees were grown along the railway in Quang Bien Village on the same morning.

The second phase of the campaign, which is scheduled to be completed by May 15, will see the completion of a one-kilometre flower road along the railway section by the railway sector and Quang Tien Commune's authorities.

This initiative is part of the railway sector's post-Tet tree-planting programme, which aims to advance the Railway Flower Road movement launched in 2023.

Earlier, flowers were also grown along a one-kilometre railway section in Xuan Truong Commune in Dong Nai's Xuan Loc District.

According to Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company, since 2023, the company has collaborated with HCM City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Binh Thuan to plant over 13 kilometres of flower roads and restore 68 level crossings.

This year, the company has set a goal to plant an additional 15 kilometres of flower roads, including 6-7 kilometres in Dong Nai alone.
