Eligible travellers include Vietnamese and Chinese citizens holding passports, entry-exit permits, or border area travel documents. Clearance operations are conducted from Monday to Friday, with morning sessions from 8 to 9 am and afternoon sessions from 3 to 4 pm.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vu Van Dien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, commended the efforts of both provinces and districts in completing the necessary procedures to officially open the Hoanh Mo-Dong Zhong border gate, including the Bac Phong Sinh-Li Hua crossing point.
Dien emphasised the need for continued co-operation to effectively develop, manage, and operate the border gate system along the Quang Ninh-Guangxi border. He urged both sides to invest in infrastructure and modern equipment at the border gates, facilitating smoother immigration procedures for travellers and vehicles, boosting cross-border trade, and enhancing tourism between the two countries.

Immediately following the ceremony, over 50 residents entered Vietnam from China, while nearly 20 residents visited China.
