Airport security used specialised equipment to examine the powder and identified Nitrate-based explosives.
The passenger and evidence were handed over to Danang International Airport Police for further processing.
At the police station, the passenger admitted to taking the explosives on the flight to make fireworks.
A day before the incident, security staff at Danang International Airport stopped a foreign passenger who had a model metal gun, plastic bullets, and several electrical wires in his luggage. He was unable to provide the required documents to transport these items.
