Two Russian tourists rescued from Khanh Hoa mountain

According to the Khanh Hoa Police Department, the tourists were rescued at 1.23 am on September 4 after going missing the previous afternoon. At 9.40 pm on September 3, the province’s emergency hotline 114 received a report from the owner of Greenhouse homestay on 23/10 Street, Tay Nha Trang Ward, who said two Russian guests had lost direction and were exhausted while hiking Co Tien Mountain in Bac Nha Trang Ward.

The tourists, identified as Kurochkin Sergei, born in 1987, and Tikhov Aleksei, born in 1994, began their hike at 2.30 pm but later became disoriented and contacted their host for help.

A six-member rescue team was immediately deployed, working with Bac Nha Trang police, local authorities, and the homestay owner to carry out the search. At 12.48 am on September 4, rescuers reached the two tourists and escorted them safely down the mountain at 1.23 am.
