According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, total tourism revenue during the holiday reached VND 4,500 billion (approximately USD 177 million), double last year’s amount. Average hotel occupancy in the city stood at 83 per cent, with more than 80,000 international arrivals, up 35 per cent year-on-year.

Popular attractions also saw sharp increases in footfall. The Thang Long Imperial Citadel welcomed around 33,000 visitors, the Hanoi Zoo 33,000, Hoa Lo Prison 26,420, and the Temple of Literature 18,000.

This year’s holiday coincided with celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, featuring cultural events, art performances, and entertainment activities that boosted demand for tourism. The military parade and mass march in Hanoi on September 2 drew nationwide attention, further driving visitor numbers.
