Thousands of residents gathered under the rain at Nguyen Hue pedestrian street and other venues in Binh Duong and Vung Tau to enjoy cultural performances and fireworks shows.

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council Chairman Vo Van Minh, Vice Chairman of the city People's Committee Nguyen Loc Ha, and leaders of local departments attended the celebration at Binh Duong New City Park.

In Tam Thang Square, the rain did not dampen spirits as large crowds gathered for the show.

At exactly 9 pm, fireworks illuminated the sky across multiple sites, including the Saigon River area in An Khanh Ward.

Quoc, 28, from Thu Duc, watched the fireworks from Khanh Hoi Bridge and raised his hand in salute, his eyes brimming with tears. He said he felt proud seeing how far the country has developed.

Nhung, a student from Phuoc Long Ward, arrived with friends at Nguyen Hue pedestrian street in the afternoon to wait for the show. Worried about the rain, they chose a café with a balcony view rather than waiting outside.

At Khanh Hoi Bridge, people had been waiting in the rain since early evening. When the first fireworks shot into the sky, the crowd erupted in cheers.

Many endured the rain for more than two hours to enjoy the special National Day performances and fireworks. Even after the show ended, many lingered, with the downpour making the night an unforgettable memory.
