The Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said it is working with authorities in Phu Quy Special Zone to install QR-code information boards at key tourist sites across the island.

Visitors will be able to scan the codes with mobile devices to access information, images and videos about attractions, accommodation, dining and entertainment services.
The system is being introduced at popular destinations including Ban Tranh Princess Temple, Linh Son Pagoda-Cao Cat Mountain, Thay Sai Nai Tomb, Bai Nho-Ganh Hang and the Phu Quy Flagpole.
Nguyen Lan Ngoc, deputy director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the initiative forms part of a broader strategy to apply digital technology and tourism data to destination promotion.
Authorities expect the project to improve tourism services, enhance visitor convenience and encourage repeat visits to the island.
Information accessed through the QR codes will be linked to Lam Dong Province's official tourism website and will be available in multiple languages.
Le Hong Loi, chairman of the Phu Quy Special Zone People's Committee, said the initiative would simplify access to tourism information while reducing reliance on printed materials.
The authorities plan to extend QR-code digitisation to all tourist attractions, historical sites and cultural landmarks across Phu Quy.
Located about 120 kilometres southeast of Phan Thiet, Phu Quy covers an area of 18 square kilometres and is home to around 32,000 people.
The island has seen rapid tourism growth in recent years, with visitor numbers rising from just over 40,000 in 2021 to nearly 155,000 in 2025. Local authorities aim to attract 175,000 visitors in 2026.
