According to the Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company, the Ministry of Construction has approved the extension of the Hiep Phuoc–Con Dao express boat service’s pilot operation until the end of this year.
The Thang Long high-speed vessel will serve the route. It measures over 77 metres in length and 9.49 metres in width. It can accommodate 1,017 passengers and reach up to 35 nautical miles per hour. Three trips will be operated weekly, with departures alternating between the ports.

The ferry is slated to leave Hiep Phuoc Port in Nha Be District for Con Dao at 7 am and depart from Ben Dam Port in Con Dao back to HCM City at 1 pm Depending on weather conditions, each journey takes nearly five hours or less.
From Monday to Thursday, fares are set at VND615,000 (USD24.26) for disabled passengers, VND700,000 for children and senior citizens, VND880,000 for economy class, and VND1.1 million for VIP class. On weekends, the respective rates rise to VND685,000, VND780,000, and VND980,000, while the VIP fare remains unchanged.
The Hiep Phuoc-Con Dao was launched in May 2024 but was suspended by late July that year for some reasons.
On March 29, the express boat service connecting Saigon Port in HCM City and Con Dao was also reopened.
