Hanoi to host tourism gift festival soon

The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival is set to be held on April 11-13, aiming to promote the message Hanoi-Come to Love and a Safe, Friendly, Quality, and Attractive destination.

The festival will be held on Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street and surrounding areas in Hai Ba Trung District. It is expected to accommodate 80 booths showcasing the capital city’s heritage and tourist sites and traditional craft villages such as Bat Trang ceramics, Van Phuc silk, Phu Vinh rattan, Ha Thai lacquer, Ngu Xa bronze casting, and young rice of Vong village.

The festival offers a chance to introduce Hanoi and Vietnam’s signature destinations, products, services, and gifts to local and foreign visitors.

The organising board has aimed to develop cultural and historical tourism routes that link heritage sites while preserving and promoting the unique values of Thang Long’s four sacred temples, the West Lake area, the Old Quarter, the French Quarter, and the Hoan Kiem Lake surroundings.

Hanoi is a top cultural and historical destination in Vietnam. It has 5,922 recognised relics, including one UNESCO World Heritage site and 21 special national historical sites. The city also has 1,793 examples of intangible cultural heritage and 1,350 traditional craft villages.
