Da Lat City is home to one of the ten most bizarre houses in the world as voted by the Chinese People’s Daily.
Scenery outside Crazy House
The guest house is known as “Crazy House” and covers nearly 1,900 square metres at No. 3 Huynh Thuc Khang Street. It was built in 1990 by architect Dang Viet Nga.
Nga loves Da Lat very much and its landscapes and friendly community are what inspired her to build an ideal structure, designed to link people and nature.
Initially, the special work’s name was Hang Nga Guesthouse and then was later changed to “Crazy House”.
Crazy House is not designed under a certain architectural school of thought, instead its design is unique and natural. From outside, the house looks like a huge tree-trunk that twists, turns and bends around in various shapes.
Inside, the house attracts great attention from tourists with zigzagging stairs and rooms in bizarre designs like pumpkins, bears, tigers, eagles and kangaroos. This is Da Lat’s Crazy House.
